Real Life,
Real Results

Our Mission

Our mission is to get you stronger, feeling better, and more confident in everyday life. We will accomplish this by providing fun and varied workouts that allow you to push yourself amongst friends. Our greatest pride is seeing members pick up a weight they wouldn't have tried before or finish a workout that they could never do...and get comfortable enough to talk smack to push each other to new gains.

What we offer that will help us accomplish our mission

Functional Fitness

Functional Fitness consists of movement based off real life, everyday scenarios to strengthen your body and decrease risk of injury. It uses a variety of tools to allow your body to stay healthy, strong, and ready for anything.

Group Classes

It's always easier working out with a group that motivates and pushes you to be better. Our classes always vary to insure you're working on and strengthening different muscle groups and doing different exercises each time you come in. Get motivated by working alongside others in our small group setting.

DEKA Training

DEKA is a fantastic functional fitness event that will have you doing things in combination that takes your fitness to the next level. No single event has ever been so doable for all levels yet so hard for those wanting to push themselves.

Janelle Bott

I'd like to say I've been an athlete all my life, but there have been periods where I did nothing fitness related nor worked out. I did gymnastics from 8-13 and that has served as the base of my athletic abilities. After going through college and Grad School for Market Research, I eventually made it back home to Colorado and started at Colorado Krav Maga where I rediscovered my love for fitness and strength building. I did that for four years and that also led to discovering Obstacle Course Racing (OCR). This also led to learning to run and competing in grueling events like the Bataan Death March and Spartan Ultras. Lately my training is focused on OCR and The Tactical Games.

As for accolades, I have went from middle of the pack to the podium in age group in OCRWC, The Tactical Games, Spartan, and Cerus events. I can't wait to see what 2022 brings for both myself and my awesome FOCR friends.

Mark Salvador

I have been an athlete all of my life. I grew up participating in various team and individual sports. Out of high school I joined the United States Army, completed Infantry School, and earned my Ranger Tab. From there I went on to Fort Hood where I was placed on Special Duty after earning a spot on the Post wrestling team. After I got out of the military, I went to school for Sports Medicine and worked with Denver Parks and Rec as a Recreation Instructor. I then fell in love with softball and for the next 20 years competed at the highest level around the country. Then I found Krav Maga and spent the next 8 years studying and becoming a Level IV Certified Instructor at Colorado Krav Maga. My passion for teaching led me to want to start back in the fitness area and my newly discovered love of obstacle racing made me want to make not only myself better, but to help others as well. And I've added on The Tactical Games to my list of events I love.

As for accolades recently, I have a podium in The Tactical Games and Savage Race and multiple top 5/10 finishes in Spartan and Cerus.

How FIT FOCR Started

We traveled to the first ever US OCR Championship in Texas where Janelle tore her hands up on the first day and where we decided we were tired of hating running. That led to us building some obstacles in our two-car garage and trying to become runners. Shortly after we trained for and completed the Bataan Death March Civilian Heavy division for our first marathon. To improve our running skills we worked with Richard Diaz and haven't looked back since. We completed our second marathon the same year racing the Breckenridge Ultra. During this journey, as we met people who lived near us, we started inviting them to join us. Sunday mornings were our main workouts. Then one day Mark said, "I've always wanted to own a gym." and Janelle decided to make that happen. We were lucky to have found a spot with a big empty garage and some acreage to build on and the rest is history. We have met so many amazing people and can't wait to keep meeting more.
